Hello again one and all from your pals at Pittsburgh Underground! The gang at The Hollywood Theater in Dormont is planning another spectacular this Wednesday and Thursday (June 29th at & 30th at 9:30PM) - the critically acclaimed independent Norwegian film, TROLLHUNTER (check out the trailer below!).
An official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festive, TROLLHUNTER, shot in vérité style, tells the story of a vetern hunter, as he reveals the world of beasts known only in Norwegian folklore. It's not long before the accompanying students believe his unlikely tales.
In keeping with the realistic documentary spirit of the film, the cast was called upon to do one very important thing: improvise the entire movie. "The whle film was improvised on set," says Norwegian born, Director/Writer André Øvredal. "it was the only way I could really make a film that was going to have this level of documentary feeling. We couldn't have acting; we couldn't have direction. We couldn't have a feeling that this had been planned."
Ticket prices for all shows are $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. The Hollywood Theater is located at 1449 Potomac Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15216.
PU will be there with our pitchforks and torches! Hope to see you there!
