The Space Invaders Couch designed by Igor Chak
Hey everybody! In one more week Tron Legacy comes to theaters (December 17). Wth that in mind, we revisit the videogame past for our Old School Gaming Month!
Set the wayback machine to to 1978, ah... the good ol' days - Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope was released in theaters that summer, and Stayin' Alive from Saturday Night Fever by the Bee Gees was on all the radio stations, and the Incredible Hulk premiered on on CBS. Also, a humble videogame designer from Japan named Tomohiro Nishikado creates the iconic grand daddy of shooters: Space Invaders.
Now... take the wayback machine back to the year 2010, where everything old is now new again, and industrial designer Igor Chak creates his homage to the raster graphics original in the form of the ultimate couch for all you potatoes.
Join us next Wednesday for a continuation of our Old School Gaming Month!
