Geek Gear: Street-Legal TRON Lightcycles Starting at $35,000!

The gang here at good ol' PU have been in love with all things TRON since its debut in on the big screens in 1982 (ah... the good old days!). If it wasn't for the incredible design work of famed futurist Syd Mead, TRON could have been a laughable experience. Syd not only created the look and feel for the movie, but his iconic light cycles stole that show have recently been updated for the sequel, TRON Legacy coming in December of 2010 (we can't wait!).

Original TRON Light Cycle Design by Syd Mead

For a mear starting bid of $35,000, you can now purchase a street-legal TRON light cycle from the brilliant custom motorcycle builders, Parker Brothers Choppers (sorry, no website for these folks just yet) in the signature neon accents of red, blue, yellow, green, or orange.

TRON Light Cycle 2.0

These bikes are built from the exact specs from the movie props using a buyers choice of 1000cc gasoline engine or a high-power electric motor with the largest features on the bikes being the custom built 22 inch hubless wheels. Parker Brother Choppers even promises to include an authentic TRON helmet (yes, how wicked is that!).

Order now! Rumors are that there will only be five of these babies built so if you got the dough, it's time to pony up before the movie hits this Xmas! Check out the pics below!
