The 48 Hour Film Project Premieres TONIGHT!
That's right ladies and germs! Tonight starting at 6:30 PM at the Kelly Stravhorn Theater through tommorow, independant film makers from the Pittsburgh area will be showing off their masterpieces for the first time. The 48 Hour Film Project's mission is to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers. Through its festival/competition, the Project encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies. The tight deadline of 48 hours puts the focus squarely on the filmmakers—emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills. While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on "doing" instead of "talking."
Tickets are $8 or $6 with vaild student ID per screening This is a cash at the door only deal with the theater offering a 3 screening pass for $20 or $15 with a valid student ID. Support your local independant film makers for a fun night for all!
